ARTISTS OF MOUNT TAMALPAIS

It's time once again to assess your wall space, review your gift list, and head over to the MWPCA clubhouse for the annual Artists of Mt. Tam fall show—featuring accomplished visual artists who also happen to be your neighbors.

This year, the show offers painting, drawing, photography, ceramics, textiles, fiber arts, woodworking & mixed-media—a little something for everyone. And for the budget-conscious art lover, Friday's reception will include the highly popular RAFFLE. Win actual art for the cost of a $5 ticket! (proceeds benefit the MWPCA, which benefits us all, right?)

MWPCA CLUBHOUSE, 40 Ridge Ave, Mill Valley

Artists of Mount Tamalpais, sponsored by the Muir Woods Park Community Association, is a group of 20 artists who live and work on Mount Tam, in Marin County, California. The group spans a wide range of ages and experience, and includes painters, mixed media artists, paper artists, photographers, sculptors, textile artists, ceramicists, woodworkers, jewelry makers, and glass artists. Inspired by the quiet and majestic beauty of Mount Tamalpais, these artists reflect that beauty in their art.

We exhibit as a group (as well as individually) in Mill Valley and surrounding areas in local galleries, libraries, and public spaces. The group has also participated in well-attended exhibits at Marin's Falkirk Cultural Center and The O'Hanlon Center for the Arts. In addition, we hold an annual show at the MWPCA clubhouse to introduce the public to our artists and their work. We've also occasionally sponsored a popular Trail Walk—which affords an opportunity for people to visit the unique and charming studios and homes of our artists during a self-guided walk that winds through the peaceful  trails and hidden roads of Mount Tamalpais.
